Chipeta Sun Lodge has a wide variety of accommodations at our Boutique Colorado Resort featuring 25 unique lodge rooms.  Chipeta Sun Lodge is a great alternative to the hotels near Telluride and hotels near Ouray, Co.

The original Lodge was built in 1993, a true Adobe structure, has 12 individual rooms.

The Chipeta Colorado Vacation Condos , studio, one bedroom, and two bedroom have living rooms and full kitchens and are available for quarter share ownership. The Kiva Suites are upscale rooms with some private balconies and Hot Tubs.

Room to Relax

The “Great Room” makes for a cozy spot to relax after a day in the mountains. A crackling wood fire, sipping hot tea, a Chipeta chocolate chip cookie, a good book, or conversation about the day’s adventures just might be the perfect ending to a perfect Colorado day.

Solarium

The two story, plant filled solarium is your sunny space to admire the mountains.  Located in the original Lodge, a true adobe structure built in 1993,  all the trees in the solarium are actually rooted in the ground and grown from small plants,  most likely  the only ficus trees in Colorado actually growing from the ground.

Chipeta Sun Lodge and Spa Greener Than Ever

RIDGWAY – Chipeta Sun Lodge and Spa in Ridgway’s  Solar Ranches has been a  green Resort from inception.  Our Resort began as passive solar with heat capturing stone and large south facing windows.  As we added buildings , we added solar hot water and a solar heated pool.  We use recycled paper, recycle all plastic, glass and cardboard and aspire to be paperless when possible.  Our Four Corners Cafe serves with sustainablity in mind, serving up fresh, local, and organic produce.  The wines we carry are from the Fetzer vineyards, also grown  organic and sustainable.  With the term “green” being applied to everything from solar hot water and power to building to conventions, what does it mean to be green in the hotel industry?

FOUR CORNERS CAFE – Fine Dining in Ridgway, Colorado

Our newest addition to our Colorado resort is the opening of the the Four Corners Cafe.   Recently the Cafe was featured in the Telluride Watch newspaper.  The article was titled  Our Dinner with Jack and Patsy.
