Telluride Ranked No. 1 Ski Area by Condè Nast Traveler Readers
TELLURIDE – “The Telluride Ski Resort came in at the top of the list in the 2012 Condè Nast Traveler Readers’ Poll as the top place to ski in North America.
The Top ranking in the readers poll, out of 25 ski destinations, is published in the December issue of Condè Nast Traveler. Telluride received an overall score of 94.3 with readers scoring the ski area highly in mountain terrain, lift/lift lines, local ambiance, après ski/dining.
Coming in at second and third, respectively, was Whistler Blackcomb, B.C., and Deer Valley, Utah.
Hotels serving the Telluride Ski Area also scored well in top 100 ski hotels in the readers’ poll as well. The Fairmont Heritage Place Franz Klammer Lodge, the Inn at Lost Creek, the New Sheridan Hotel, the Lumiere Telluride, Camel’s Garden Hotel, Ice House Lodge, Mountain Lodge, and the Peaks Resort all received rankings in the top 100.
