Music in the Park
The Ridgway Concert Series, a free event that is open to all, was started in 2009 as an event for the local community. It has since grown to be a very popular regional event.
Hartwell Park will host the free Ridgway Concert Series every Thursday in July. The music starts at 6:00 PM with an opening act; the main act will be around 7:30 PM; and the event will end around 10:00 PM. Low back chairs, blankets and tarps are encouraged (shade structures will not permitted). True Grit Walking Tours
Ridgway Western Heritage Society hosts a True Grit Movie Walking Tour that lasts one hour. It departs from Hartwell Park, Ridgway’s central location next to Highway 62/Sherman Street. Ridgway State park
The park was created using the Ridgway Reservoir as its center. It offers stunning scenery, three campgrounds with modern amenities and three comfortable yurts to stay overnight, playgrounds, group events facilities. There are many trails for biking and hiking, as well as birding and wildlife watching opportunities are all available to outdoor enthusiasts. Ridgway Adventure Sport (RAS), a locally owned and operated backcountry gear store and full-service bike & ski shop, is located in the heart of Ridgway. RAS stocks a variety of gear and apparel that can be used for backpacking, hiking, trekking, cycling, splittingboarding, backcountry skiing as well as cross-country skiing. RIGS is located in downtown Ridgway and offer river rafting adventures that are suitable for all ages and abilities throughout the summer. The Gunnison River is located in the heart of southwestern Colorado.
